In this course, students explore their own personal beliefs about the right of freedom of movement with international law which have outlined the global rights of people everywhere to to migrate in pursuit of safety and refuge. Students will begin by distilling the core principles that anchor internationally recognized rights of people everywhere to move freely and feel safe at home. They will then apply these principles to both their own experiences with migration and movement and current global migration scenarios where these rights are being debated today. For their final presentation students will use what they have learned, present possible actions or solutions for a  current migration situation of their choice and in the process articulate their own values around migration and freedom of movement.
