The essence of Life is change. Many of life’s changes are out of our control. But many are within our power. Writing is a powerful tool for bringing about change. In this course we will learn, practice, and apply the standards and skills necessary for accomplishing change through writing. We will learn, practice, and apply effective research strategies and documentation to support our ideas and purposes. Writing topics will be of participants’ own choosing. Students will complete two major writing projects during our course: a real-life, change-promoting petition; and a CU personal project proposal.
