Let’s walk the walk to liberate ourselves from communication limitations and contribute your narrative and knowledge to the human story. This Workshop is designed to help you to be heard when you speak in writing, and to achieve what you want to achieve. For this purpose, I have adapted Open Architecture Curricular Design (OACD), using authentic materials and activities, flexible alignment with individual learner needs, and ongoing learner involvement in the determination of learning objectives and activities. Performance- and proficiency-based formative assessments and occasional summative assessments are integrated into the learning-writing process. And my support of each individual writer’s process will be informed by World Readiness Standards for Interpersonal, Interpretive, and Presentational Communication (National Standards Collaborative Board, 2019).

This course combines Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the Neuroplasticity Super-Protocol for Learning, providing multiple means of engagement emphasizing multiple pathways to learning, including: virtual synchronous participation; teamwork; authenticity; self-reflection; educational equity; and multiple means of action and expression emphasizing creative thinking and choice, providing curated, high quality, reliable learning resources and multiple modes of demonstration of mastery, and knowledge-sharing.
