In this course we will explore both historical and current impacts of globalization. We will examine globalization from multiple perspectives and axes of power and dive deeper into the history of global power dynamics as well as unpack some commonly used terms associated with global economic and geopolitics. Goals for the class are for students to be able to ground the current state of the world with a solid understanding of the ways economic, political and military power, both contemporary and historical, shape how countries and human beings around the world interact with each other.
