This is a course in thinking for the 21st Century. Together, we will identify, define, practice, and develop: Critical; Analytical; Systems; Systematic; Logical; Creative; Ethical; Reflective; Philosophical; and Collaborative Thinking. We will also explore and practice thinking with AI (Artificial Intelligence). Mastering these thinking skills can make a huge difference in your ability to find and synthesize accurate information, in your depth of reflection and self-awareness, in your effectiveness as communicators, in your ability to innovate, collaborate, and solve problems, and in the quality of your future employment opportunities.
In keeping with our purpose of empowering your individual and collective thought processes, our course is designed for direct experiential learning and self-determination. You will design many of your own learning and skills development activities, and will self-evaluate many of your efforts and achievements. Your work in the course will culminate in a Future-Proof Thinking Project for which you will select 5 modes of thinking and apply them to any topic you choose, including your CU Project.
